10 AI Tools for Capital Raisers and Investors: Webinar Demo

Webinar: Demonstration of 10 Artificial Intelligence Tools for Capital Raisers & Investors

Capital raisers, fund managers and investors who want to see practical AI tools for finding investors, writing outreach, sharpening pitches and screening deals.

What you will hear

Richard C. Wilson demonstrates a dozen AI tools built for capital raising. The first is an investor pipeline builder that filters a database of 22,400 investors down to the one or two percent most likely to care. He explains that his team tested 150 AI tools, found most of them broken or irrelevant to investing, and then built tools for their own specific use cases.

The demo also covers an investor email analyzer, a due diligence advisor that reviews offering materials and pitch decks, a pitch deck scorer and a one-liner generator. Two more tools draw on billionaire talks and investor stage talks. Richard says AI should augment human work and not replace in-person meetings or professional advisors. He adds that meeting in person matters most for larger checks.

Three phases of AI use for CEOs
  1. 1Use LLMs like ChatGPT and Grok
  2. 2Find vertical tools for your industry
  3. 3Build tools for your exact use case

Five points worth keeping

  1. Narrow the list to the right investors. Richard says that blasting emails to thousands of investors gets little done. The pipeline builder aims to find the one or two percent of a 22,400 person database who are most likely to like the offer and be easy to meet.
  2. Keep investor emails short and clear. The email analyzer grades subject line, call to action and investor appeal. It is programmed to flag emails longer than two to three sentences, because, in Richard's experience, long essays and 44 page decks often go unread.
  3. Use AI as a first pass on deals. The due diligence tool can summarize a deck, list red flags and draft 10 questions to send by email before any call. Richard says it augments human judgment and does not replace professional advisors or in-person checks.
  4. Build a one-liner with hard numbers. A strong one-liner is one sentence and holds one to three data points. Richard says phrases like best in class mean nothing, while a fund size, transaction total or preferred return is concrete.
  5. Meet in person for larger checks. Richard cites research that in-person meetings are 16 times more effective than digital pitching. Richard says digital outreach may work for checks of 5 to 15 thousand dollars, but in his experience larger raises usually need face to face time.

In their words

"Saying you're best in class means absolutely nothing. But saying that you have a 100 property fund or 250 million in transactions or 16.5% preferred return."

"So it doesn't replace. It augments what you would normally do."

"It's proven that meeting in person is 16 times more effective than pitching digitally via Zoom or LinkedIn or email."

Questions about this video

What does the investor pipeline builder do?

It searches a database of 22,400 investors and returns a list of 150, 300 or 500 leads that match your raise and location. It gives one lead per company, with contacts, location, LinkedIn profile and AUM where available.

What is the Dewey due diligence advisor trained on?

It is trained on 150 white papers and due diligence checklists covering private equity, angel, family office and real estate due diligence. Richard says it can make mistakes, so it should support and not replace professional review.

How does the pitch deck score work?

The tool scores a pitch deck from 1 to 100 based on 25 criteria. In the demo, a deck scored 68 out of 100 and was flagged for missing team bios, a funding ask and a one-pager.
